Foster Family Fun Night and Dinner Collection
Friday October 9, 5:30 - 7:30 PM
Join us as we open our doors to support Washington County foster families with dinner and fun activities, providing space for foster parents to connect with other foster parents and families to have fun together. You can register to help at the event or you can sign up to make a meal for a foster family to take home (recipe and instructions will be provided.)
Family Promise Dinner
Friday October 23, 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Northbrook is caring for sheltered families by providing Family Fun Nights which will include dinner and an activity for those staying at Family Promise in West Bend. Northbrook families are encouraged to serve together; children must be accompanied by an adult. Dinner will be provided and space is limited.
micah ministry Christmas Bags
November 21 & 22
New this year, Micah Ministry will be filling Christmas GIFT BAGS (formerly stockings). These beautiful and reusable bags will be handmade by Northbrook's Threads of Hope ministry. The filled bags will be distributed to victims of human trafficking. Pick up a bag and shopping list in the main lobby on November 21 or 22, then return the filled gift bags to the lower west tower collection bin no later than December 5th.
gift of Groceries - Milwaukee Rescue mission
October 31/November 1
Northbrook is partnering with Milwaukee Rescue Mission's Cross Trainers Academy to provide a Thanksgiving meal and pantry extras for 350 student families! Hear more about this and pick up reusable shopping bags and a shopping list in the lobby after all gatherings, October 31 and November 1.
Return the filled bags to the hallway behind the chapel between November 6 - 15
Online viewers can also participate by downloading and printing the grocery list and providing 2 of your own reusable grocery bags to be dropped off at Northbrook by Nov. 15.
What happens when you combine a great cup of coffee with meaningful conversation?
This fall, we're excited to launch Café Conversations—a new gathering designed to bring our church family together in a relaxed coffee shop setting to hear firsthand from people God is using in incredible ways.

Our first Café Conversation will feature one of our supported missionary families who serve in Chad, Africa, working among primarily Muslim communities. They will share the story of how God called an ordinary family into an extraordinary mission. You'll hear about the challenges of serving in a Muslim context, relationships they've built, miracles they've witnessed, and the ways God continues to open doors where the gospel is often difficult to share.

This is your opportunity to listen, ask questions, and be encouraged by what God is doing across the globe. Everyone who attends will receive one complimentary drink from the nbCafé!

A team from Northbrook will travel with Compassion International to Cacaopera, El Salvador and visit the churches and communities that Northbrook helps support. This is also a great opportunity to meet your sponsor child. Prayerfully consider this exciting opportunity! Note: minors need to travel with a parent. Attendance at the informational meeting is required to apply for this team.

We invite you to choose an opportunity that fits your schedule, your interests, and the season of life you are in. To help you get started, we've gathered ongoing opportunities with organizations we partner with. You can serve with your family, your Life Group, your kids, or even from home. We hope you'll take a look below, reach out to the organization directly, and find a way to make a difference that feels like a good fit for you.
Milwaukee rescue mission
Pack snack bags for Joy House or sack lunches for MRM. Sign up required (good for small groups, kids, can do from home)

Prepare a meal for 15-20 and deliver to Hope Street or to Northbrook (to be served on Tuesday). Sign up required (good for small groups, kids, can do from home)
care net
Volunteer needed to clean upstairs classroom and boutique 1x/month.
Volunteers needed to help in childcare on Tuesday mornings while moms are in Bible Study or classes.
Volunteers needed 1x/week to sort and organize donations and baby clothes.

Participate in sewing projects like reuseable hygiene kits, pillowcases, and other various projects to support local and global ministries (can do from home)
bread ministry
Drive or ride along in the bread van to pick-up day-old food from various supermarkets and gas stations and deliver to nearby food pantries 1x/month (Drivers or ride-along partners needed M/W/F)
the welcome network
Support language learning with a non-English speaking adult or child. Sign up and a brief training required (West Bend area 1x/week or special events)
disaster relief
Locations across the U.S. are struggling to recover from disasters including hurricanes, wildfires, and tornados. Samaritan’s Purse is working on the ground with active deployments in several states.
