Northbrook's Global Partners

INTERNATIONAL NEEDS GHANA

International Needs Ghana (INGH) is a Christian, non-profit organization established in 1987. INGH is part of a worldwide partnership of Christian organizations, fulfilling the commission of Jesus Christ and supporting each other to see transformed lives, families, and communities.

In partnership with INGH, Northbrook Church has supported medical teams and clinics, built a church pavilion and six-classroom school, and helped hundreds through child sponsorship and children’s outreach programs.  Relationship building and teaching continue in creative ways!  Northbrook recently sent a short-term mission team to offer training and mentorship to vocational center students, visit start-up businesses of some vocational center graduates, worship and fellowship at the Lasivenu community school, and visit farmers in a livelihood program supported by Northbrook.

Compassion International

CompassionIntl_1.jpg

Compassion International uses a holistic child development model through local churches around the world to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.  This is done by blending spiritual, physical, social and economic care that benefits the children, their family and communities.  Northbrook has a relationship with Compassion in El Salvador, particularly in the northeast community of Cacaopera, where many children are sponsored by Northbrook families. â€‹

Survival Moms

In 2016 Northbrook Church began a partnership with Compassion International. What started as a child sponsorship partnership has opened new opportunities to touch many more families throughout El Salvador. Northbrook supports two development centers, and in 2019 we began to provide support for Compassion International’s Survival Moms program at each of these two locations.

The Survival Moms program helps babies survive the crucial first 12 months of life, when they are most vulnerable to illness and hunger. Mothers are learning useful new skills, building supporting friendships with other mothers and learning that Jesus’ unconditional love can transform their lives. Thanks in part to the generous support of our Northbrook family, these mothers are being empowered to create an environment where their babies will thrive.
